Please note: Awesome.

Last night was a reading/signing at Kinokuniya, and was awesome (despite the fact this was already mentioned in the title). As detailed in the above picture, there were no personal photos with Neil Gaiman, but I cheated and got a photo that was technically a personal request anyway. Luke - 1, System - 0. I also kept the sign, so I might technically be on 2. Well, 1 and a half at least.

For those of you who are interested, even though you were probably there, we recieved confirmation that there will be an Anansi Boys movie, which is very cool.

And we also heard excerpts from The Graveyard Book, despite the fact the tour was for M is for Magic and The Dangerous Alphabet.

I'd also like to delve in to fandalism* for a brief while (bear with), and say that I have nothing but respect for Neil, who, despite having several hundred people who wanted things signed, had time for every single one of them.

I got my Study in Emerald poster signed, which I will take a picture of once it's framed. Graham got a bottle of mead drawn in his American Gods, which is... very... Graham, and J.L. got many things signed (and one thing signed for the second time), through clever division of labour.

Lanky out.

coolies.

i also question the legitimacy of your claim that a personal request for a photo is an actual personal photo with gaiman, but ill let it slide cause you made me read 1602.

I cant wait to see that poster framed. its awesome.

Still my head reels from the blast of pure Gaimanisation it received on Tuesday... That poster will look awesome framed, I can't wait to see it either. George should have come with us and got some culture up'ya. Congrats on the mead GH.

I know he probably does it for every copy he signs, but I was thrilled at 'Dear Avery, Best Fishes, Neil Gaiman' in the Day I swapped my Dad for Two Goldfish. Also, 'Ia! Shub-Nuggurath!' in Shoggoth's Old Peculiar. What a talent...

That is an awesome workaround haha.

When he visited my country, we were only allowed one picture. Unfortunately, my picture has the both of us with heads bowed as we contemplated on what he was going to sign in my book. :p

Hello.

Its a great pic. I got the link to your blog from Neil Gaiman's blog.

Not sure if this is an appropriate request, but will ask anyway: Would it be possible for you to share that pic? If you are comfortable with my request, could you pls email me the full res version of the pic?

Thanks very much

I don't think I have seen a funnier photograph of an author. Great work, while techincally "No personal photos" means YOU can't be in the photo, you could well be the next antichrist because of your disobedience.

We will be requiring the sign back for the next Gaiman signing.

Steve, Kino

Congratulations on having Neil respond to your email, Luke! Not to mention having Kino ask for their sign back! It makes me proud to see that my adoptive son has hit the big time! ;)
